Church Staff

Pastor and Marilee Hannahs

Dr. Neil Hannahs and his wife, Marilee, have served at Northern Plains Baptist Church since September 1987. Dr. Hannahs began Richmond Lake Bible Camp in 1988 and continues to direct it. He began a Christian academy and administrated it for 23 years. In 2011 the church purchased property and built a new church building. Dr. Hannahs and his wife have five grown children and six grandchildren. Three daughters are married; one is married to an associate pastor, one is
married to an Air Force man, and one is married to an electrical engineer involved in sales with a Christian company. One son is in medical school and the youngest is a senior at Pensacola Christian College. All faithfully attend and serve in their local churches.

Chad and Karen Woosley

Bro Chad Woosley – Chad joined the staff in January of 2020 as the youth director. He and his wife, Karen, grew up near Marshalltown, Iowa. They served faithfully with the youth for several years at Fellowship Baptist Church in Marshalltown. Chad and Karen have four children. Two are married and they have two grandchildren.

Alec and Love Ewers

Alec Ewers -Alec was born and raised in Aberdeen, SD. He has been serving faithfully at Northern Plains Baptist Church since 2019, joining the staff part-time in May of 2025. Alec met his wife, Love, while at Master’s Baptist Bible College. They have one daughter.

Chuck Kempf

Evangelist Chuck Kempf – Staff evangelist. Bro. Kempf. Bro. Kempf is from Michigan. He and his wife have held revival meetings all over the country and in several foreign countries. Kempf celebrated 50 years in the ministry last year.

Staff Missionary – Lito & Noralita Avila are Philippine nationals. He has started churches and is presently president of Independent Baptist College of Asia Pacific which trains nationals for the ministry. The Avilas have four children and one grandchild: their eldest son is in the ministry,  a daughter is married and in the medical field, a daughter attends Pensacola Christian College, and one son is in high school.
